What happens behind the scenes of a major dance event?
J-FEST: BEHIND THE SCENES is a documentary that takes viewers behind the scenes of J-FEST Showcase Edition 2026. The film follows the preparations and two days of competition, capturing the work of the organizers, crew, and dancers, unexpected challenges, and moments that audiences rarely get to see.
Since 2022, J-FEST Showcase Edition has brought thousands of dancers from Estonia and abroad to Jõhvi Concert Hall. Over five years, it has grown into a two-day dance event, giving dancers of different ages and experience levels the opportunity to perform on a major stage, share their creativity, and connect with others who share their passion for dance.
J-FEST is more than just a competition or a performance. It's a place where different dance styles, studios, and people come together, creating new connections, experiences, and shared memories. The documentary reveals how much work, dedication, and how many people are behind it all.
On November 27, we will come together at Kino Artis to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Showcase Edition. Alongside the documentary premiere, guests can look forward to a special celebration where we will revisit the past five years, thank the people who have been part of J-FEST's journey, and look ahead to what's coming next.
Whether you've been part of J-FEST for years or are discovering it for the first time, we'd love to share this special evening with you!
