Dreams

When 17-year-old Johanne falls in love with her French teacher, her feelings are overwhelming. The only way to cope with them is to record her emotions in a diary. Johanne's mother and grandmother, both of whom also have literary inclinations, get over their initial surprise and even plan to publish Johanne's diary, fascinated by the girl's writing style, honesty and story of pure love. However, it is not at all clear whether what is written reflects what is happening or whether they are just dreams.

"Dreams" is the final part of Dag Johan Haugerud's trilogy, which also includes "Sex. Men's Stories" and "Love". The film was the first Norwegian film to win the Golden Bear for Best Film at the 2025 Berlin Film Festival.
